Wigan go into administration

An example of the 'circle of life' quite potentially in the making here.

I remember distinctly when we signed defender Alan Johnson from Springfield Park based Wigan in 1994 that he stated he was looking forward to playing for a bigger club.

Cue 1995, Dave Whelan, The JJB stadium, Premier League, FA Cup winners and the rest is history.........until the money runs out and the shysters take control.

Draws are good. It's early days yet but there are indications that L1 is not going to be the usual dog fight so there could be a distinct top half and distinct bottom half feel to the division this year.

Nearly a quarter of the season gone and 2 points per game scrapes you into the play offs with another half dozen or so only a game or less behind.

If it stays like this it will require a higher than usual ppg to make the play offs let alone autos. It just underlines all the more how good a top 10 finish for us would be.

North West teams are getting a serious kick in the nadgers.
A big part of the problem is too many pro clubs in a relatively small geographic area. Throw into mix two of them being amongst the richest in the World that don't give a stuff about what is happening down the football food chain, make it an unsustainable mix too.

Absolutely correct. According to Sky commentary tonight, 97% of Plymouth season ticket holders have not applied for a refund on their tickets, rather like us and a good many of "the lower order". Nice to know that some do give a fuck!
