Mourinho knows exactly what he is doing - winding everyone up. If he's your manager you love him and if he isn't then he's the guy you love to hate. But give him some credit for his Machiavellian ways, the PL would be a lot duller without it if everyone got on and played nicely together!

But the rags don't love him either. Go on any rag forum and they are moaning like hell about him. They cannot understand why their board has extended his contract.

 
They were manipulated. He seized on their fearthathe might bail out and wanted to make some move to try and push that problem away. He seeded the possibility that he may leave and they took the bait.

Good point - but wait until he wins something with them. Obviously I'd rather that didn't happen but give him another half dozen or so transfer windows and he will be getting there/somewhere.

Think we should try and get Rashford - he's home grown so Jose would probably be glad to be shot of him and we can A) put his career back on track and B) piss off the r*d rag scum.

 
But he has won trophies with the rags, KCT - the charity shield (if you can class it as a trophy), the league cup and the Europa league.

Agreed - they do hate the style of play but we do the exciting stuff these days!

The Charity Shield isn't a trophy (unless we win it). By trophy I mean proper ones, ones like the PL and the CL - or any trophy with an L in it (except the League Cup, unless we win it of course).

The Europa Cup is a trophy that rewards failure.

 
Very good, KCT, but the fact remains they are bona fide trophies to those who win them.
My guess is that if they lose to Chelsea this weekend and become in danger of dropping out of top four, the clamour for change will become deafening.
