Excellent description of Shearer and totally in line with my Skoorb on the Spot.

I bumped into a Chelsea supporter yesterday and it was clear he had swallowed this line hook, line and sinker as he repeated the same guff almost word for word. Shearer did a hatchet job and it was left to Rodgers to try and ijcet some reasonableness into the debate whilst Trevor Sinclair left me seriously disappointed. As a former City player and Blue he provided absolutely no response to Shearer's bullying attitude. I think he was a bit intimidated and I feel he could have down better.

In my ire I had missed how Shearer implied that it was the players who didn't want to play which is, of course, utter :127:

Could be time for a letter to the BBC :grr:

What's lost in all of this is not only that we're travelling to Kiev but that we're travelling to London and then travelling to Liverpool. I've seen a number of comparisons being made to City's situation by fans of other clubs but none of them compare in terms of the amount of travel in such a short space of time coupled with the current injury situation.

It's disgusting really that footballers are not sticking together as one on this issue, yes Cesc Fabregas I'm looking at you.
