I am trying to wonder how many players we will have left at the end of the season.

I make it Hanlon, Charles-cook, Byrne and Fuller run out in July, and I also think Pringle and Mandran only singed a years deal didn't they? If we take out the loans I think we have the following retained.

To be honest I cant remember about Ehmer's deal.

Looks about right.

I think loan players and shorter term contracts are the future for most teams at this level. Less need to pay off contracts in order to get players out of the door.

The reverse of that is losing players that have acquired a value but that we will have to let go for free.

Apart from perhaps Hanlon, I think that list of seven includes all the players that other teams are likely to enquire about so we are protecting our interests as far as possible.

According to the top story on Kent Online Sports section today, we paid six figures for Akinde who is 30 so is unlikely to have much of a resale value. Shows how much we needed a physical striker.
