I almost sat on the fence between McG, Poole, Whittaker and Fiorini. Having watched the highlights back I've decided that the two Fiorini through balls arguably were more difficult than the finishes and on that basis he just shaded it for me.
Everyone had a decent game and several players had excellent games.
Team fiorini again for me, was almost too easy for him first half the way he was getting on the ball and playing. Lots of players had decent games like hulloutpost says.
Whittaker took his goals well and hard to argue with a brace but think fiorini's contribution was more sustained
Several to choose from but I’ve gone for Fiorini. Totally ruled the midfield with his movement and range of passing. Has gone from becoming a player with potential to a stand-out player in the last few weeks. Honourable mentions to Whittaker for his two-goal display and to Ben House for his tremendous debut, showing such a mature all-round display for one so young and relatively inexperienced. Think we have a gem there
Fiorini was the best player on show from either team but I voted for House mainly because it was a very surprising performance from him in a unaccustomed position. He was the one who broke through the lines and forced their defenders to make decisions instead of making simple side ways passes allowing them to stay compact. It’s something we have been lacking from a number 10 all season.
Fiorini MoM, another inspired performance, he left them for dead at times; every week he seems to have more self belief. McGrandles provided organisation and calm skill and House proved why he should be in the team. Also a mention for Whittaker for his two goals.
