Who Do We Meet Next Season

3 grounds I haven’t been to this season watching the Millers.
York City’s new ground although I went to Bootham Crescent many times.
Salford away, never managed to get there either.
Colchester away, unfortunately it’s on New Years Day so I won’t be going there this season.
 
Depending on odds I’m considering having a little bit of cash on Bristol Rovers.
My dark horse team is Crawley Town.
You would expect Salford to be thereabouts because usually money talks although it sometimes doesn’t work out that way.
Dave Artell and Grimsby know what League 2 is all about. I also reckon Chesterfield will have a decent season.
York City once they’ve settled could well be a surprise package and also Port Vale.

We should “gel “ around the January Transfer Window….:throw::p

Salford remain the bookies favourite. Bristol Rovers odds have weakened a bit in the last week. Early favourites Barnet have also slipped. Other than Salford there is no one really fancied. You can get 50/1 on Crawley for the title and Craig could get 66/1 on his hot tip, Tranmere. I quite like Swindon at 20/1.

I would choose Crawley Town as promotion candidates and not to win League 2 outright.
 
I watched Bristol City v Walsall last night in the Carabao Cup. The Saddlers look a tidy side although it was a backs to the wall performance after they scored early in the second half.
My MotM was Jed Ward, Walsall goalkeeper. Aged 23, outstanding last night. They signed him for an undisclosed fee from Bristol Rovers. I have to admit I had never heard of him until last night.

Colchester New Years Day is good for me as my son lives not too far from there and we will be at theirs over that period.

I’ve never been to Newport, Crawley, Bristol Rovers, York, Colchester or Salford. Quite a few to be getting on with.
Promotion wise, I’d go for Grimsby, Salford, Bristol Rovers and possibly Walsall.
Dark Horses Oldham and Crawley.
 
Crawley is an old fashioned small ground with atmosphere. Fans were friendly and so were the Stewards. Even the Rotherham Police who were in attendance there were friendly..😉
We lost the last time I went there and got outplayed for the majority of the game. As we know Crawley got the double over us that season. The rest is history.

I wouldn’t rely on the bookies. They sometimes get it wrong.
Lincoln City last season were tipped for a poor season and they were far and away the best squad in League 1.
I reckon I will keep my 50p in my wallet and not bother having a bet on the Millers.

Seriously, I reckon it’s a season of transition. Double figure players signed after a clear out of the high earners and players that really didn’t need to be here last season. If we’re top 10 coming into the January window I will be pleased and if we do get promotion to use a well used overstated quote…” over the Moon “.
