How do you see Britain's future? Where is our native heritage and all that is British? It seems to be diminishing even faster these days.
OK, it's true that we are a changing people in terms of technology and the way we do things but in terms of a nation that is considerably one of the most influencial in the world or at least we used to be, what will the future look like inside the country?
I was just watching the news on TV and a debate was opening up as to 'What colour judge should be used in the Grenfell inquiry?'. The reporter was interviewing a guy who was advocating that the judge should not be a white typical British judge because the people from the flats were of all nationalities and backgrounds. Now call me old fashioned but as a nation we have been renowned, despite getting it wrong on a few occasions in the justice system (as every nation does), for our justice being up there with the best and frankly a world leader. The question then is, why are we tolerating people infiltrating our country with ideas that are simply NOT British? We have a great heritage of doing things right (in the main) but people take exceptional circumstances such as this and use them to set precedents and change and diminish our national image and our ways as a nation.
While we may have accepted many immigrants and I'm not opposing that, we should not be allowing our traditional British image and heritage to be eroded.
In this particular case, I would have thought that having a British Judge, one who hails from our British Justice system, one who could well be a coloured person anyway, would be different from all the different (maybe 10 different nationalities represented) people from the flats and therefore unbiased and more independent than most could be. But besides that, the judge SHOULD be one of our own traditional judges, typical of the ones in the British justice system, WE ARE BRITISH and this is going on in OUR country.
So you see some of the question I am posing. How should we be acting to pull back the Britishness and heritage that is disappearing all over in so many ways because of outside influences appearing because of our(as I see it) 'over accommodation' of those who are now living here. Another example is that of Sharia law being allowed to operate in some communities. It's time all these things were penalised and our British system should be followed at EVERY point without compromise. I'm not saying that we are the only nation that is right but if we change in some way, it should be done with a British majority backing it.
