What will Appleton achieve now?

Wasn't sure where to put this, but along the lines of switching the type of player we're looking to recruit and the strategy with it, I found the below article interesting but particularly this paragraph:

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...y-off-final-brentford-vs-fulham-a9651361.html

“When I first tasted the Championship with Queens Park Rangers, I always felt I had physical advantages over some players,” says Bean. “I was fit and athletic. But while most players in the Championship had that quality, I felt I could build that up. Gradually through their ability on the ball went to a different level. Now, that ability has increased, where your touch and passing or moving with the ball has to be even more precise. The technical skill of a Championship player is just a non-negotiable now.”

Former Appleton prodigy Kemar Roofe has now signed for Rangers. Undisclosed fee but must be over 7 figures.
