What team would you like to start v Salford?

After his post match comments, in principle Bonner MUST make changes. Otherwise, his words will be meaningless & he will appear weak.

But he's got a dilemma. He can't afford to lose another game. So for self preservation reasons he might be inclined to triage rather than attempt major surgery. In any case his hands are effectively tied by injuries limiting his options.

Would be surprised if we didn't pick up further injuries v Bromley & some of those returning players may need their minutes managed. These are likely to be the factors behind any changes.

Clark will return at LB after paternity leave. I would be tempted to go with 4 at the back. Ogie alongside Masterson. Dropping Ehmer would be a statement of intent. Time for Webster at RB, Hutton is all fart & no thunder.

In midfield we definitely need Gbode's pace & energy out wide. Ditch the ineffective & underachieving Nolan. Same centre midfield as there's nobody else. A physical encounter is unlikely to suit either Williams. Clarke down the other flank.

Up front Andrews & Nevitt. On paper the first choice partnership.

A interesting conundrum to stick or twist?
I can't see Bonner going for anything radical. He never has before that rules out someone like Webster or any other youngster with the possible exception of Gbode.I like a few earlier suggestions as regards Ogie and Hutton so have come up with this.
J Clarke and Gbode could switch positions as could Hutton and Webster with the former possibly dragging defending players out of position.
My X1
Morris
Webster Ehmer Masterson M Clark
Hutton McKenzie Ogie J Clarke
Nevitt Gbode

Playing Gbode up front would give the front line some unpredictability especially if he allowed Jayden to switch places as well .I can't see Joe getting on the score sheet. But hopefully he would work space for others.
I really can't see Bonner doing anything as radical as I've suggested.Of the three switches I have suggested for me Joe is the one I am most in favour of .I can see him working well with Jayden. We need to develop a few partnerships.

If its going to be wet and rainy we`d probably benefit from having some strong physical players on the pitch. Big Iffy was always good on a heavy pitch, his physical strength was a real asset. If the pitch is heavy, the strength of guys like Andrews and Gbode could be key. I wouldn`t mind, if we`re chasing the game late on, putting Max up front.

Yup, needs size and power in that wind and rain.

If Ogie starts in midfield tomorrow you know Bonner’s had enough and just wants his P45.
He is better suited that Frampton was and we won promotion with Frampton in midfield most of the season. We need to shake things up.If the manager is not to be replaced. He needs to try something different.Given we have already tried almost every possible selection without improving. It is time to look at something different.Ogie has it in him to be a excellent player.Steve Bruce was a defensive midfielder when he started at Gillingham .

PS. at some point we have to play Andrews from the start, if not pay up his bloody contract
I'd make Little captain and Robbie vice captain, two midfielders who actually play and give a shit, plus they seemed to have a good natural partnership early on.
