Okay gang I'm confused and I think y'all might be able to help me out. I woke up this morning to a terrible rumbling outside. The rumbling sounded like it was coming from far away, but there was also some sort of racket up on my roof. When I got outside everything was wet... really wet and getting wetter because this strange stuff is falling from the sky. Driving to work was slippery, too. On the plus side, I don't think we'll see temps even in the 80s, let alone the mid-90s we've been experiencing. It's all very confusing.

I've heard this happens to you guys quite a bit. Can someone fill me in as to what in the world is going on here?

It's been a good ten days or so of rain for everyone a few hundred miles north and northwest of me, but it had yet to manage its way down here until this morning. Still, we have a long way to go as this drought has been comparable to the 1930s dust bowl era.
