A new a study published in Cognitive Processing, and carried out by neurologists and psychologists at the University of Vienna. The study of 156 adults found that people with a dark and sick sense of humour tend to be more intelligent and better educated. It also found that fans of twisted humour were more emotionally stable and laid back.

I've always found the more edgy comedians like Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr much funnier than the James Cordons.

I think that's just because I'm a sicko though. I often find I'm alone in my sense of humour. I burst out laughing in the cinema at that scene in Saving Private Ryan when the guy is looking for his arm on the beach. Needless to say, I was the only one laughing in the cinema.
