What are you cooking during lockdown?

Courgette and lemon linguine tonight. For pud I had some of the left over mocha creme from last night, with the last of the shortbread from a couple of nights ago, with ice cream melting over it; and Mrs S had some mis-shaped strawberries she bought today with some pears she stewed that had seen better days
Cor blimey, how life has changed up North and we southerners used to think that the only dinner eaten north of the Watford Gap was bread and dripping!

Fried new potatoes (food of the gods!) and cold chicken for lunch. Followed by Mrs Notty's superb stem-ginger and lemon loaf-cake.

I'm not letting devenex near any of this!

We are marching fast towards a deep recession that will make 1929 look like a tea party and you are giving it the big a la carte at lunchtimes.
Just a few details missing,I presume it`s Jersey Royals and a specially supplied Bresse chicken. (the most expensive in the world)

ps:The French are taking the piss with that Bresse chicken and I have been down to Bourg en Bresse and given that bird some knife and fork treatment and it was found wanting....Lidl free range every day.

Economic footnote:Specialist poultry generates the highest levels of profit for modern day UK farmers.

NOTE 2,plus they do very well long term OUT OF THE ECONOMY BY NOT BEING SUBJECT TO INHERITANCE TAX.......RANT OVER.

enjoy the nosh.....CAN`T STOP NOW OFF TO TRAP MY TEA,BEFORE IT GETS DARK.

I'm eating whippet. It's getting desperate up here. The racing pigeon may have to go next.

Love my game birds especially pigeon and Grouse(sourced in Lincoln at Pepperdines),serve whole on the crown but steer clear of the old grouse, only fit for a pot roast.
Don`t kill those pigeons as they will be the only sport you see this year.

Take-away pizza tonight. Feeling lazy.

We haven't ordered 8. ;)
you lucky bastards in a position to order a -ucking takeaway,no chance down here
.
We have to revert to making our own pizza bases and building the toppings accordingly.
We are doing some much home cooking especially Indian but i am concerned for my local Indian takeaway owner in Hayling Island and if i keep knocking out so much nosh then his takings will drop accordingly and there is no chance that he will be sending his 2 young lads to Eton and his daughters to Bedales.

Pfft, where's the ambition Notty?
i fear he may well have blown his load on the cooking front.
he has reported in on a decent nosebag at lunchtime but maybe still suffering from a delayed reaction to DC`S VISIT TO BARNARD CASTLE.

Normally this reaction lasts the full 24 hours and disappears without trace.

We're trying north-african style lamb meat-loaf with caremalised onion, apricot and pomegranate cous-cous tomorrow.

My ambition is boundless.
Like the sound of that but slightly worried about that couscous, I had it served up in a restaurant and it tasted like eating sawdust, but hard times are a coming and sawdust might seem like a real treat further down the line.
On these "new modern foods" like couscous always like to try them out firstly on my dog Baldy and if he gives it the big" FO i`m not eating that shite" when it is mingled in with his Winalot then it won`t reach my plate.

Last night`s nosh was in line with the weather and a bbq was in order and was delivered by yours truly.......bbq temperature back to normal since isolation in shed.

With the sun due to disappear it was a poignant moment as I loaded out the griddle with all the usual goodies, Devon ruby red rump, chicken thighs, honey and mustard bangers, corn on the cob, circles of skewered aubergine with Encona chilli sauce, romano pepper and to back that up a small salad with coriander, potato salad and a large bowl of tuna fish rice with red onion, pepper cucumber all covered in a light coating of mayo.
Knifes and forks took a real thrashing and tapeworms had a full time job digesting my input.
Looks like the last of the bbq`s but who knows and whilst the freezer is still full i`m not quite down to chasing blackbirds just yet.
Happy noshing you Imps.

That sounds a proper feast. But how many are you feeding, devenex? 10 people!?
