Rump steak, one big hasselback potato, mushrooms, broccoli and pepper sauce for me. Christmas pudding to follow and a bottle of Ruby Rooster (Hatherwood ruby ale).

Love a peppercorn sauce on my steak too. Bottle of Batemans Victory ale for me tonight. Very nice, must get a couple more in

De-frosted some of the Staffordshire oatcakes and fried them off pancake-style. I had orange juice and sugar on mine, Mrs N., Golden Syrup. delicious!

Tea will be a sort-of pizza thing with a puff-pastry base and lots of mushrooms.

Thai red beef curry for me, with mushroom and broccoli added to the sauce. Instead of rice I'm finishing off the end of my sourdough loaf to soak up the sauce!

Well, I'm hoping to eat the above anyway. I've had the mother of all headaches this afternoon that I had to break out almost the last of my very old but thankfully still very effective tablets to sort it out.

Poached eggs & avocado on toast. Only 2 squares of dark chocolate with raspberry pieces.
