i dont want an appeal if its 6 or less
Why not? Even if it’s a small amount like 2 points I would consider depending on what the judgement report says. We had had some conjecture about what happened with the Johnson sale but until we know for sure we can’t really speculate on an appeal

Why? I'd appeal if its 1 point, just to put the 'See you next Tuesdays' through the ringer and spend more cash
Because then you end the season not knowing if they are going to increase it a few days later and relegate you.

When you appeal it can go up as well as down.

If we get relegated there is absolutely zero chance of them changing it and relegating someone else.

Even now, the whole thing makes a mockery of the integrity of the competition, giving us a points deduction with just 9 games to go.

cos that takes it probably past the season end

I think it’s irrelevant that the season is over. One thing for sure it’s not getting increased at all. It’s about making them uncomfortable and taking this unjust system all the way, even if it does nothing to change the verdict.

If we’re down and they increase the penalty, which they won’t, it doesn’t matter anyway, still down

My understanding Pope is the appeal IC cannot increase the penalty

Is that confirmed?

Generally appeals in my experience can go either way?

When I appeal an exam grade I have to let the student know it can go down as well

Is it actually stated anywhere it can't go up?

If so then agreed, we should appeal anything and have made it clear we would

When following the Everton appeal process their YouTube channel had an ‘expert’ on who said the panel could not increase the original penalty

Forest will make a determination on whether to appeal based upon what they get and what the judgement says. Irrespective of what we want such as an appeal to any points I believe 3 or less will be accepted to avoid further distraction
