That's the answer!

He was writing in the programme for the second home match, and third league game, of the season. A 5-0 home win over Notts and a 1-0 win at Halifax had put the Imps on top of the table. Two wins in two home matches kept them there, but then a 5-0 defeat at Darlington and a 1-0 home defeat to Swansea put them down to 6th place and they never rose higher than 2nd for the rest of the season, finishing 8th.

The 5-0 win over Notts was Graham Taylor's debut for the Imps, and produced his only Imps goal.

I think the 5-0 loss at Darlington was the only trip I made on a supporters' coach.
