What a difference a fortnight makes!

This time 2 weeks ago we were all understandably feeling very low after the sort of performance we had become all too accustomed to over the last few seasons. 2 weeks and 6 points later, things feel an awful lot better. These last 2 performances certainly haven't been perfect but they have been full of character and desire.

I'm certainly not going to get carried away but things do feel different to the last few seasons. We have a manager we can have confidence in and players who want to put in a shift. It's nice to finally look at a league table without worrying too much. There's a hell of a long way to go but I am hopeful that at very least we can have a bit of enjoyment for the first time in what seems like far too long.

Happy Saturday evening fellow long suffering magpies!

Quite right, for once a home performance had far more positives than negatives. A very enjoyable second half despite the ref doing his best to spoil it. Especially good to see young Mr Richards grace the Meadow Lane turf, if he is only half as good as his dad we'll still have a decent player.
