Slaven Bilic:

"The penalty was the turning point because we looked good until then. It was maybe a soft one.

"We had a great chance to equalise but we didn't. We made mistakes after the goal and started to chase the ball. Quickly it was 3-0 and game over.

"It's a very bad day for us. It wasn't good enough.

"What disappointed me the most is that we started to chase them all over the pitch and then conceded two more and it was all over.

Pep Guardiola:

"We were able to keep the ball more than the last games. We created more chances. Before the penalty we had three or four clear chances. After the second and third goal it was easy in the second half.

"It's important to win away but it's not easy. I'd like to involve the fans and make them believe we are good. We are the good guys - we run a lot and fight."

Alan Shearer

Ex-England captain on BBC One

"Manchester City were fantastic, West Ham could not live with them.

City's movement off the ball was just superb.

Slaven Bilic stood on the touchline for 90 minutes. He didn't shirk his responsibilities. His players did. "

John Stones on BBC One:

"I thought we moved the ball well. We changed our system and played with a diamond. It worked really well.

"To get clean-sheet was good - we haven't had too many.

Ian Wright

Former Arsenal striker on BBC One

"Man City have got so much quality in their side, you can't write them off in the title race. "

Frank Lampard

Former England midfielder on BBC One

"You can't defend like that. The third was an easy goal in the end. David Silva was quite rightly man of the match and that goal just sums him up as a player. He was brilliant. "

It was so nice retiring to bed with such a satisfying performance under our belts. Perhaps the closest to what Guardiola has wanted from a performance all season? Look what happens when you don't concede a goal inside the first fifteen minutes. Hopefully that will send confidence surging through the squad.

Zaba the City version of Philip Lahm?

West Ham were poor, but City made them look that way, the fabulous runs and passes by Silva was a delight to see him back to his best and quite rightly rested and given the man of the match, but in addition Zabaleta enjoyed the midfield role, something different and he can pick out a pass and get stuck in.

Winning games brings confidence but the next two games will show if the confidence is still there and that the lads have belief in themselves
