I reckon they've committed too much now to try and back out. They'd have to get us back up to the Champ to try and claw money back but who knows. I really hope it doesn't come to that but for now it's really hard to see how we get out of this. Confidence is getting lower and lower and there's no fight in us.

Agree, I’ve tried to remain positive but it’s getting more and more difficult. The one thing I’m hanging onto is that we’ve not seen anything of Matos’ management ability yet and we have to get him some staff before the Oxford game.

Part of me thinks we need a reset and that relegation could provide that, but there have been plenty of fans who have seen their clubs relegated and have not come back up. We aren’t Birmingham or Sunderland and I can see us struggling to return to Championship level if we left it.

I really didn’t see this season turning out like this, even under Sheehan I thought we would be midtable. Don’t want to be negative but it feels like we can’t have a sustained period of positivity or stability at this club, that all left when we sold to Levien and Kaplan.

These owners are clueless of how to run the football side of a football club.

I always think, to be successful as a football club, you need owners who -

1. Care about the club (or at least have ambition.)
2. Appoint the right people to the right roles.

For me, these are the two most important things and it seems at the moment we have one of them. Lucky for us I think the second one is easier to remedy.

I’m not saying I would want Tom Gorringe gone, I think he should continue in his role on the commercial side, but we need football people making decisions regarding football.
