We're smashing the Aussies..

Spursex

Alert Team
..and I'm loving it..

After all the hubris and bravado that they were here to smash us, they've fallen apart.

Almost too amazing to be believable.

It's been a real topsy turvy series so far, no test has even gone the 5 days yet !
And was the Aussie battering that they gave England a blip, as they haven't looked much in the other matches.
Lets hope England pile on a big score today, might only have to bat once to regain the Ashes !

We are absolutely murdering them, it's all over bar the shouting.

that will shut the aussies up for awhile...well at least until the Rugby World Cup! :10: :21:

G'day for England and all ECB Cricket fans. Brilliant play by Broad and some great bowling again today. Ben Stokes was terrific, some really good tactics.

Well done England! Great to see the Aussies squashed in such style!

Like the look of Stokes, bowled very well, sharp fielder, he can bat too although struggling at the moment. Promising all rounder.

Did we miss some chances today ? Dropped catches, no ball wickets ?

VERY funny SPURF. Nice one.

Maybe starting the play in Cardiff is the reason for such success?

And we're now 34-2. Don't get carried away just yet!

AH it was easy SG. The 5th test will be interesting on the 20th though. I cant see them rising too high but maybe without any pressure, they'll go out to play a bit more.

Well done England, great stuff.

As a big fan of Michael Clarke, I think it's the right time for him to retire. I don't like how he has been made the scapegoat by the Australian media, although that's always how it's been. The English seem to like him more than the Aussies do! He's not been the same since Phillip Hughes died, understandably.

Could you blame me for being a bit cautious?! :17:

Must have been a hard time for him after losing a friend like that. You can imagine he wanted to win the ashes and dedicate it to Hughes.

SG I am impressed, you like cricket and footie. Next you will be telling me you like classic cars from the 60s.

I fail on that one I'm afraid, Nick.

I think getting himself fit for the World Cup, and getting the squad through that and winning it took a lot out of him, and that's all been quickly forgotten. He's been fighting a losing battle from the start with some, despite not really doing much wrong as captain. Can you imagine the plaudits Ponting or Gilchrist would have got, had they batted on with a broken shoulder and ended up being unbeaten on 161? I imagine he's hugely relieved that he will no longer have to keep trying to win over people who were never going to be won over. It'll be interesting to see how they treat Steve Smith. Whether he'll always be the golden boy, or if they'll turn on him too.
