There is strict criteria for this systems use, based on an immediate risk to life. This threshold for its use was not even close to being met. Put out an address from the PM on the national broadcaster and others, that’s all that is needed. It is completely moronic to use a national alert system for this. To be fair, I wouldn’t want a 3 minute warning either. Others may though, and that is what the system was effectively designed for, with strict criteria for its use. Not to tell people to stop using disposable bbq’s.

"All of the residents" was a silly thing to type. "Some" would have been fair.

Correct. You didn't find it because I never said it. I wouldn't be so stupid as to label the entire population of any area like that simply because everywhere has some decent folk. Even St Helens!

There are knuckledgraggers in most, if not all areas of the UK. My interpretation of a knuckledragger for clarity is a white male, British, unemployed, could work but doesn't, and blames foreigners for the problems in the UK.
