Well done Reform 🇬🇧

It is a pretty resounding statement from the electorate. They are no longer a party of protest for a few racists, so they need to deliver, as of now. Words are not enough.

The trouble for Reform is that they have peaked.
If you were going to vote Reform, yesterday was the day.
Now check out their share of the vote.
It is all downhill from here, core voters passing away, mismanagement by Reform Councils and the Frange effect (wants to be top dog)

It the same here in the Social Democrat Party, without the success at the ballot box

Landslide springs to mind. Only 25 seats were available and Reform won 24 ( other being IND )... such a pity all seats weren't up for grabs as we could have swept the feckin lot away in one go.

Lots of sweaty palms around in Wigan waiting for the inevitable.

Leave agent Starmer where he is...what a weapon.

Pleased to say Reform picked up half of the 14 of the Chorley seats up for grabs, including the one in my ward. Go Ellie. Disturbingly the Greens secured one, didn’t realise there were so many deranged loons living in the area. Seems like there is a lot more sense in Wigan.

Pity it wasn’t a general election as it looks like they are taking about a third across the country, which is just a touch ahead of the polls.

Labour had a chance and blew it. Starmer sunk his premiership within a month due to his abhorrent response to the Southport massacre. Despite a brutal kicking I doubt the party will change course and instead will double down on their policies, continuing their contempt for the electorate. Bye bye Nandy I suspect.

Thoughts and prayers with Moonay, loudmouthblue and Kenny Morris at this difficult time.

Matthew Lambert is Reform UK’s candidate in Douglas, Wigan.

He’s been creating AI slop that he claims represents the Christian Fellowship for Reform with himself a preacher / politician.

Must be a very close family judging from the people standing looking at him in awe. 👀

Right, you sensible Reform voting chaps, here’s your leader, @Nigel_Farage trying to appear like an ordinary bloke down the pub with a pint in one hand and a copy of the Sun in the other.
Here’s a few facts for you.
1 He is the son of a well known stockbroker.
2 He was a Dulwich public schoolboy.
3 He worked in the City for 18 years mostly as a commodities broker.
4 A billionaire has recently given him £5 million, others have donated huge sums too.
So, do really think he care about you or your life?
No, of course he doesn’t.
In fact, you are little more than an inconvenience under his feet and you are blind to this due to your optimism.
He is USING you.
I despair.

Oh dear. What a to do. Best thing is lean forward in a sitting position with a copy of Das Kapital clutched between the knees and breath deeply. Some of your angst will start to subside, not all.

Think you’ve been outed son. Though perhaps swapping out fuckwits for chaps means you secretly love Reform.

After Brexit I was asked what were the advantages of doing so...my reply was 2 things, i can now get a blue passport and the other being it pissed off so many lefties. Fast forward 10 years i still have my blue passport and the lefties are still sobbing their eyes out when things don't go their way.

Sweet.

That's fair enough hindley, but how sad that very few - if any - of the promises that were made of stuff that would happen/change by our leaving have materialised.

A bit like the changes Uncle Keir promised that never materialised. I know a local councillor in Hindley personally...a good mate of many years and I know he'll be absolutely over the feckin moon that his seat isnt up for grabs till next year, otherwise he would now be looking for a very well paid 2nd job.

Starmer's been in place for 2 years ... it seems a lifetime since Brexit, with bugger all benefits (different coloured passports, and the opportunity to laugh at the misery of others excepted) delivered.

Regardless, thinking back to the local elections, it puzzles me a little why people vote for a party at council level. Surely, it's more about the individual. Getting things done ... locally ... for constituents. I guess in Wigan borough, there's going to be one hell of an expectation on the new incumbents.

I voted for brexit & as you say lots of failed / undelivered promises. I also voted for Labour due to the shit show that was Boris & the Tories. Sadly in the 2 years since they've been in power there are just as many failed / undelivered promises from the Labour Party...just as inept, sleaze ridden & untrustworthy as the last government hence yesterday my vote went to Reform....just a pity it wasn't a GE & Liar Starmer n Co would be out on their ears.

How good was your local councillor previously Jock? That's what you were electing ... not national issues.

I noted your ward had voted in another Labour candidate.

I believe there is a disused theme park within it. Prime land for a detention centre 😉

He's an absoloutely belting councillor too.

I've voted for all colours at local elections over the years. I normally go off what they say they'll do locally. The Reform guy had 4 lines on his flyer. One was "stop the boats" - where ? On the Leeds- Liverpool ? The other three points were also things that CBC has no influence on.

Hed have probably been elected if there was something local about his campaign - 40 odd votes in it i think. Maybe there was something local, but he didnt knock on ours even though we live less than a minute walk away from him.

I actually agreed with some of the Tory candidates stuff - against us potentially being lumped in with Blackburn - Burnley in the local govt restructure.

Never even had a flyer from Lib Dems or Green. More effort required from them.
