at last. Been a bit nervy, but SL said that it's not a case of we have to improve after the Blackpool game, it was a case that we must improve, and so it proved today. Mustn't forget we were 2nd Bottom just before Christmas!
 
Yep we were dead and buried after Pompey at home and Lovell has achieved what seemed unlikely in keeping us up. Its been a roller coaster of highs (away from home) and lows (at home) but he achieved the goal albeit by making far harder work of it than it looked a couple of months ago.

Big summer ahead now and a good start needed (especially at home) next season.
 
Yes as soon as the Plymouth game is finished - get the JCB's in and dig up that swamp of a pitch ! and put some proper drainage in and not just re turf it ?
 
Bradford is awful but it's flatter and more predictable than ours. Watch on Saturday when a ball is played along the ground how often it pops up unpredictably. This explains some of the poor crosses and mis-t imed shots. I'm not claiming the pitch is what stands between us and success but it is very poor.
 
Blaming the pitch for home form is clutching at straws, both teams play on the same surface, in fact the home team should have the advantage of playing on it all the time.
