Well Done England!

Amazingly with the pressure off England are playing well. Commentators are loving it. Tuchel is bouncing. Does no one ( no one) understand that you pay elite managers and players to perform when the pressure is on. My granny could manage a team on Clifton Park ffs. We seem to be a nation of losers.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game yesterday evening - and 3rd in the World is success to me!

I always respect your views, sixpence. Up here in north Lancs we must be too hard to please. No one I know was anything but disappointed in how England performed. I thought we were lucky to get through two of the knockout rounds. I listed some of the stats from the Argentina game and on many indicators it was the worst England performance (possession, XG, shots) in over 50 years. Tuchel was brought in specifically to take the next step from Southgate. He failed. With 4 or 5 exceptions I thought the England players were poor in most games. But it's all a matter of opinion.

😊 It certainly is, life would be very boring if we all thought the same!

🤔 I think for me, perhaps life has taught me that if you lower your expectations you are less often disappointed and therefore get more pleasure.

BUT - I didn't think I could cope with another season at NYS like the last 2/3 so didn't renew my season ticket. However when Alex Bruce and Steve Agnew were appointed I stupidly believed things were on the up and renewed!!
I am rapidly realising that my optimism may well have been unfounded!
