Well this didn't take long. After weeks of listening to "Liverpool Leg Ends" telling us how garbage Sterling was at the Euros and how he had "such a poor season" (sic).....now we have one concerned for his place in the team. :039:

If he is good enough he will step up. Why not comment on how Sterling should see this as a challenge to which he could rise, raising his performances etc? Well, no, because it's not the job of 'pundits' to offer encouragement.....

He assumes we will play 4231, if this is our preferred formation, (which I doubt) under Pep then Sterling will be fighting for a spot, but this is the same for the whole team and why you have a 25 man squad for a 60 game season. The fact he cost 49M quid has nowt to do with it. I am sure Raheem will rise to the challenge, and if he can't he will be moved on in due course and the pundits and Bin dippers will be happy to see him fail.
