Answers on Friday.

2. Richard Kell became a pilot. He's often listed (e.g. on soccerbase and wikipedia) as having made a single appearance for the Imps as a substitute against Accrington Stanley on 24 February 2007 but this is a mistake. He signed for Lincoln on 5 December 2006 and was handed the squad number 6. He left on 23 January 2007 having failed to make an appearance though he was an unused substitute on three occasions. On the same day, Paul Green joined and was handed Kell's squad number. The substitute appearance against Accrington should have been allocated to Paul Green but somehow the Press Association listed Kell.

5. George Moulson?

6. Derek Bell?

8. Was this perhaps Allan Hall against Wigan Borough in 1931/32? Wigan went out of business during the season so all records of their games were expunged.

8, cheated on this one, a Ponting hat-trick, in a 4-3 win 2/09/1939, the first three games of the season expunged, good word that, following the outbreak of the War.

Knew Shane Nicholson (ONLY answer i have known in all these quizzes!).
4: I'll plump for bkd for leaving the field of play without permission. Can't remember when i last saw that happen, if ever seen, so must be a very rare occurrence.

1. As a guess working from the date rather than anything else possibly City's 1,000th league goal in the football league

10. Shane Nicholson: longest gap between first and last Football League game for the club (20 years and 40 days).

[Scotimp: which game is that taken at? The spectators look rather relaxed.]
