Looking at last seasons National league table and saw York went down fourth bottom woth 50 points. Looking at te way things are going I am wondering if we are capable of getting 50 points? We need 17 more points from our 19 remaining fixtures. A little concerned.
 
Simplistically the teams below us need more than 17 points from their remaining fixtures to put us in trouble. Are they capable ?

There have been some (very small) green shoots over the last three games although we have only picked up 2 points. First we have actually scored some goals and second we have responded better after being knocked back.
 
We are poor enough to finish fifth bottom but there are four teams worse than us, the only crumb of comfort from this season.

Unless of course our fate is decided by off field antics.

I wish just one of the goals had been scored by a forward. On the positive side, Watson is back as if he had never been away and if he can stay fit he might be able to shore up our leaky defence as well as show the forwards how its done. Its asking a lot of one player I know, but by heck we are desperate.

With only three of those 19 left to play we have still yet to reach 50 points, over 3 months later. 16 games have returned just 16pts, a point a game average in any league is likely to end in tears.

If the average of a point a game continues we should end on 52pts, fingers crossed. Once more we won't have saved ourselves, we have hoped there would be four teams worse than us, thankfully Woking are doing their best to save us.
