We all ready fora General Election then?

If you were on the ball then i applaud you ,but please show some sympathy for all those millions that were not informed as they should have been.
Chippy, women want equality or don't they. I retired early because we stopped going abroad on hols and I saved increasing amounts for 20 years. I then had to wait for 3 years to get my old age pension.....could I have signified as female and got in earlier?

Every adult has a choice and if your wife didn't notice the coming change then
I do hope you cope well with the burden of extra years or lower money but this is not a Tory issue at all IMO.

Its a Govt issue.

The current Govt is just sweeping it under the table.

A different Govt will seek to compensate those affected.

it seems obvious to me that the Corbyn Mantra - not for sale- is the politburos way to try to get on slightly safer ground.

It's also obvious to the more discerning that the NHS, as an entity, is not for sale. It's an unwieldy burden that NO ONE in their right nind would take on as there's no profit to be made and a massive legacy to take on should anyone be daft enough to buy it.

Corbyn's stupid mantra paints a broad picture that is , to say the least, misleading- and, after today's words, seemingly a downright lie.

Trump has stated that he wouldn't take it on a silver platter because, as described above, to a buyer , if there was such a thing, it's not a good business model.

Some parts - 7% -are farmed out to private companies to aid the efficency. As I described much earlier on this thread I am having cataract surgery performed under the auspices of the NHS and it;s been done and dusted within 34 days. That's how it can work, that's how it should work.

The rdiculous Corbyn mantra that anyone in the UK that puts a plaster on should be employed by the NHS, and the plaster should be bought through the state is doctrinal effluent of the highest order

There tha goes again blatherin on again.

Answer the question, relating to the two videos of him i posted.

Is Trump lying YES or NO

You have pointed out that he has said different things at different times so I will leave you to work that out but, as you deny any contradictions or mind changes by Corby I can appreciate your difficulty.

As for 'blatherin on' then if stating a lucid, common sense argument translates to you as that I can , again, appreciate your difficulty.

Trust the dentist visit wasn't too painful

Chippy, you mean you really don't read the papers nor listen to the TV news....it was covered in full. And later when Labour was involved?
Sorry if you and yours are inconvenienced but me and mine made other arrangements - at a cost but necessary to support our retirement.
Did you expect every holdhosue to be told (a bit liek the £9m for the referendum leaflet)?
I am not sure ignorance counts as a defence Chips!

No they are sticking to the decision made by both governments.
If every decision was overturned we would have an impossible sitiuation.
I know my words will be ignored by you because you are thinking with your heart and not your head Chippy. Sometimes that's the right thing to do, especially for your missus. Best of luck to you both.

Prime minister, God help us.UTMPB

It's actually 1.8 but Labour are like pigs when it comes to figures

Doubling it would take it to 2.4 seeing as they inherited it at 1.2 in 2010and , in 2005 it was 500 trillion or s o in 5 yrs Labour put it up by 140 per year and Tories by about half that each year whilst reducing the deficit by circa 120.
Neither aare records to be proud of but I'd rather back those that are increasing it at half the rate of the others.

based on Labour's planned election bribery those figures would be seen as low and conservative if Mcdonnell got near the chequebook

The Tories have got more to answer for after what i have just seen on Newsnight,in 2017 Mrs May decided to bring in legislation that brought in Bail reforms and replaced it with something called Released Under Investigation.

This will shock you.
A woman who sought help from police 12 separate times regarding her estranged husband, who eventually murdered her, listen to her elderly mother who is distraught and tells how her daughter was murdered in graphic detail.

A surprise guest (not seen her on the box since Cheds day)who spoke very well about domestic abuse.

Now i await TT and the gang to explain to me that it was all Labour and Corbyn's fault that the law was changed in 2017,that see's 100,000 criminals released on RUI and woman needlessly killed.

And secondly in the second part of the show we have Emily talking to Jane Fonda about Climate Change, pin your ears back and listen to what she says its important.Although it will probably get dissed by the gang as humbug.

Watch anytime on BBC Iplayer link here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000by3k

You know what CBB. Bad stuff happens all the time. Governments have to make decisions, and sometimes there are unintended consequences, like with this poor lady's daughter. Stuff like this happened during Labour administrations too, and personally I find it rather distasteful that people try to make political capital out of such a tragedy.

As for climate change and that brave multi-millionaire Jane Fonda speaking out, the issue here is not belief that it is happening, but the solution to it. As has been pointed out several times, the Chinese and Indians are still building new coal fired power stations. The South Americans are still cutting down rain forest. Who is dealing with the root cause of this? Its not us and our ginormous Christmas tree farm, is it..? We can plant a gazillion trees and its like pissing in the wind.

You and Rod can put up memes and twitter snippets all you like, but no-one is changing their minds here because pointing out the failings in the Tories is not addressing the fundamental issue of

'why is Labour going to be any better?'.

Thats the question. You know the first bit of the Corbyn campaign I saw was him dealing with the complex problem of homelessness, and I quote...'What will we do about the homeless.? We'll buy them all a house..!'.

Its just facile nonsense, with no idea of how this god-almighty bill will ever be paid. Its Payday Loan politics at its very worst. There is no plan, there's no theme, there's no word of wealth creation, there's nothing of any substance at all in anything that comes out of them. Its all just giveaways and pointless spending, and most of the money to do it will be borrowed. They can't even make their mind up on Brexit. Corbyns ridiculous stance is because the parliamentary party don't want it but their voters do. They are trying to engineer a situation where, with the votes of all those astute and politically savvy 16 year olds, we can vote Remain in the re-run and pretend none of this ever happened.

Labour should be looking at a landslide victory against a government with as poor a record as the Tories. Yet they are 12 points behind and relying on the 'Trillion pound giveaway' to wow us all, and LibDems to vote tactically for them to try and deny Boris a majority. This fact alone should give you a clue as to the complete incompetence of Corbyn and the Labour Party. We've been here before, and it ends in tears.

For the absolute first time at 58, I will be hoping the Tories win a clear majority, not out of any like or even hope that Boris is the guy. He is an idiot, but he is an idiot who will not bankrupt us as a nation. He will get stuff done. some of it will be good, some of it will be bad, but he will get it done. So to summarize, I may be losing a foot, but at least I'm not losing a leg.

When bad stuff happens Chippy, I rarely blame the government of the day (of either colour) but human bings who let us all down from the police to the emergency services to the NHS.
Humans cannot be trusted, we are human and make mistakes and sometimes they are serious.

Have you watched the programme FKB ? if did you will see that what happened was a direct result of the Law change in 2017 by the Tory Tit Mrs May.If the bloke that killed the woman had been put on bail with restrictions he would not have been able to go anywhere near the woman.Under RUI the Police had to give him the KEY BACK to the house and so he went and murdered her.

Climate change, thank god for people like Jane Fonda they raise the issue and people listen,in 40 years if things dont change it will be fun living on the planet,it will be ten times worse than the Wild West ever was.

You want a Tory majority with that you will get a hard Brexit possibly even a cliff edge brexit at the end of 2020,thats your choice but i think its the wrong choice, there we will just have to agree to disagree. (y)

You can blame Govt's when as a direct action of a change in legislation results in a massive increase in domestic abuse cases being put on the back burner by the police because of RUI.2 women a week are killed every week thru domestic abuse.

Charlie Webster made very good input on the show last nite watch it thru Iplayer i put a link in my post.

Another topic to be discussed (why is it me that brings topics up) today.

Its the Tory asperation to give a few bob to the plebs upnorth for better transport.

This is what they want you to use,it has my backing as it would help with climate change.

The government didn't hit the women, men did, bad men who need to be punished but it is not a govenrment issue. No govenrment should rule our lives
on every issue.
