Just the sort of deal we should have been trying to jump in on really probably move on next year for around eight million.

It's a big risk for them.

Sell Jota and sign this lad. I wouldn't be confident this lad can fill the hole left by Jota.

If I were them I would be keeping Vibe. They'll be alright then, they have what we lack- someone experienced to bring him on and shoulder the burdon of goals he can't meet himself.

If they let Vibe go as well they are taking an enormous risk and surely they won't.

Shame we aren't on the ball with this one, but there we go. Brentford have an excellent record with this

It's a risk well worth taking if they keep Vibe for at least a season.

Having said that, there are 22 other championship clubs who have missed the boat on this one as well

Bearing in mind we spent 525k on Scott Dobie and that was 12 years ago. :23:
With all the daft money flying about i think there's more than a good chance of that turning out to be a great bit of business by Brentford.

But there's only one club i can think of that has just sold it's top scorer for £15m .

Think Stan fee was 2m rising to around 3m if memory serves.

That was no small fee for a 2nd div club at the time. Probably be about equivalent to the 5.5 we paid for Britt a few years back.

Popes right vibe is the key, thought jota and woods looked good, but vibe was the star for me last season, still think if we could tempt him away at a reasonable price, it's worth it, but anything over a couple of million isn't worth it for a 31 year old.

Watkins is only going to get better and his next move after us would be epl

If we could keep him two or three seasons he might even take us to epl
