This may have been added via another thread, if it has i'm sorry.

The interview made my toes curl.

After City's win over the Clarets, Guardiola was interviewed by BBC Sport's Damian Johnson. Here is the tense exchange in full:

Johnson: "What was your view of the red card for Fernandinho?"

Guardiola: "You are the journalist. Not me."

DJ: "You're the manager. I'm sure the fans would like to know."

PG: "Ask the referee - not me."

DJ: "Are you concerned that's his third red card this season? Is there a discipline problem with him?"

PG: "We will accept. Like I said before, the team with more ball possession we have always sending-off. I have to understand the rules here in England. I know you are specialist but I have to understand it."

DJ: "So the interpretation is perhaps different in England?"

PG: "Of course, yes. Around the world our keeper in the box is fouled, not here. I have to understand that. Claudio Bravo is fouled."

DJ: "It's his fault?"

PG: "He is fouled. Here not - that's OK but I have to understand that."

DJ: "You don't seem that happy that you've won."

PG: "More than you would believe. More than you would believe, I am happy."

DJ: "You're not showing it."

PG: "I'm so happy, believe me. I'm so happy. Happy new year."

DJ: "Are Manchester City in the title race?"

PG: "Yesterday, no. Why today are we in the title race?"

DJ: "Thanks Pep."

PG: "My pleasure."

Awkward? Absolutely brilliant if you ask me.

Are we City fans? If so get behind the manager and the team and quit the hyperbole, the media don't need to get the knives out, we do it for them FFS. We're our own worst enemies.

It makes uncomfortable viewing but I have reflected on it since and just seen him in the post match interviews with all the journalists (Sky). He is clearly livid and totally fed up with the decisions he has seen his side suffer from yet again and so I can't blame him at all. The questions are often inane or baited, intending to get them to deliver a good sound bite, you can't say what you really think as it can land you in trouble.

He gets my vote and the media can **ck off.

Klopp gets similarly pissed off with the inane questions that he repeatedly had to face in his post match medi session. The same question gets asked three times and Klopp loses it. Don't see the media going to town on him.

United's very own Daily Mirror really going to town....

TalkSport had a body language expect on their station earlier this morning. He spoke some sense about Pep and his awkward interviews but I didn't really learn anything new.

A few days ago I had a go at Pep around the very subject (constant rocking on his feet). I said then and i'll say it now, it bloody annoys me.

He show signs of agitation in these interviews but who wouldn't having to put up with the hyperbolic bullshit that the dickheads he's answering to come out with?

MOTD interviewed Lord Taggart in 1995 post match in similar atmosphere to Pep after Burnley. John Motson asked the rag manager about Roy Keane red cards. Fergie walked out to begin his long BBC boycott...Today we see the likes of Robbie Savage leading a Pep witch hunt and newspapers calling in body language experts...Fight this bullshit, City.

Damian Johnson from the BBC was only doing his job and Pep assured him that his terse responses were not intended personally but the sort of nonsense that the likes of Savage is allowed to bang on about on the national broadcaster's payroll grinds my gears.

It may be time for Pep to drop his urbane, measured, Mr Nice Guy routine. Klopp was horribly tetchy in his post match press q & a - I don't see ny questions about his state of mind and checking his body languge ffs

Who remembers Pep pre season in the taxi with that young fan who asked him where were we going to keep all the trophies?

I want that Pep back, the one who laughed and ruffled the young lads Boticelli curls and told him not to worry as he, Pep, would make room.

Just seen Klopp's immediate post match tunnel interview.......

https://youtu.be/MwLqOblmz1E

What an unadulterated load of old rambling drivel.

As JB has posted - we don't seem to be having any psychologists being called upon to undertake detailed analysis of whatever the **ck was going on inside his befuddled brain during this interview :017:

Here's what Bacary typed on Instachat/gram...

Good on him I say. We gotta stick together.

"10 against 12... but still fighting and winning as a team #together"

- For the record, a hack sent it in to the FA.....

I remember the video very well.

Here here, I want the same Pep back as well,

Just curious, that exchange with the Beeb reporter, is that question about the red card the first thing he asked him of was there a question before that?

It wasn't the first question, there were a few ones beforehand but it came up quite quickly as Pep''s answers were somewhat.......truncated

Thanks Skoorb, I'm seriously baffled as to what the fuss is about that interview, can anyone explain?
