Wanted man hands himself in after challenging police to get 1,000 shares

Has society’s quest for social media fame gone too far? Well, maybe, but hitting 1,000 shares ensured that one wanted man is behind bars – so it helped out one police force at least. Michael Zaydel, 21, messaged police who put out an appeal to find him, saying he would hand himself in if they managed to get 1,000 shares on their next post.

Not sure what to make of that. I think I'd expect, if I was one of the police, to say hand yourself in with no conditions you've broken the law?!?! :79:
 
Yeah, it's a really strange one. Social media... who knows where it will end! lol

Can't decide if this was smart by the police or just wrong!
