Wales v North Macedonia, Cardiff, Tue 18 Nov 19:45

After last night’s 0-1 win in Liechtenstein the table looks like this:

Belgium……... P7 W4 D3 L0 F22 A7 GD15 Pts15

N. Macedonia. P7 W3 D4 L0 F12 A3 GD9 Pts13

Wales……….. P7 W4 D1 L2 F14 A10 GD4 Pts13

Amazingly, though highly unlikely, Wales could still win the group. Belgium play at home to Liechtenstein next (they won 0-6 in the away tie!). Lose that and Wales beat North Macedonia and we would top the group.

Unfortunately half the Wales team will be missing through injury and suspension. Ampadu and Jordan James are out after harsh yellow cards last night.

We have to win against unbeaten North Macedonia on Tuesday night to secure second place and guarantee a home play-off semi-final in March.

If we lose we can still make the play-offs though, due to our impressive UEFA Nations League performances, but we would face lower seeded teams and an away play-off semi-final in March

North Macedonia will be a tough nut to crack. They drew 1-1 at home to Belgium and 0-0 away, this to a team that has scored 22 goals so far in Group J and who put 4 goals past us in our home fixture against them.
