Vs sunderland friendly ( sponsored by the wolfs construction business )

I've heard similar, old boy.

Again, and strangely enough, the full inside track is via yours, mine and the forums favourite ITK sage @AdebolaCornflakes.

Please, please, please, please PM young 'bola for the full S.P.

Whisper it quietly, though...apparently the perennial Parisian underachievers have earmarked Murillo as their new glovesman. Interesting...£60m+ for a goalie to challenge donnerumour.
Donnerumour is speculating about what's new in the kebab shop. Better than droning on abou battered sausages.

Murillo has phoned his "personal interviewer" to make it clear any decision to join PSG relies on them allowing him to continue to live in London and commute

And that if he does decide to take himself there for a season it's only based on using them as a stepping stone for Real Madrid

Also any contract will stipulate he is allowed to continue to have a free role when defending set pieces

Does he catch the groovy train chap?

True, true...

Maybe Doner is heading here...i think NES has plan's for him to be understudy to MGW as a no.10.

The glovesman has decent feet, for a big man and is wasted as a GK.

Yes, @AdebolaCornflakes is certainly a "man" in the know.

As you will know, he speaks in riddles and all he would say is he's a striker, and played in the euros.

Who could it be?

Yes, yes, yes, thats the news i've had on the grapevine...

Thing is, is this mysterious striker a striker per se, or someone we're hoping to convert into a forward cos his currrent employers are unable to see his proper position.

The chatter i've had WhatsApp'd is a "left-back-cum-striker" that POSSIBLY rhymes with MerManDes...thats all i've been permitted to say.

Cracking stuff chap! Though I'm not jumping on a plane just to get some crisps chap
theres an icelands near me :) bloody pricey tho, bar the biscuits for some reason that seem to have avoided sugar taxes, inflation and removing plastics, still a quid/euro a pack everywhere haha

On what basis is Dennis better than Iheanacho, Akpom or Adams? Nothing in his history suggests that…
On the contrary, there is some good Emmanuel Dennis history. For instance, he scored 10 Premier League goals for a weak, relegated Watford side in 2021-22. Since Watford only scored 34 goals, that is pretty good, and comparable to Wood last season. To be fair to your point, Iheanacho scored 12 that same season. but then in a stronger Leicester City side which finished 8th.

And what have each of them done before and since? For me Iheanacho is the better player.

As for Akpom and Adams, I don’t rate either but Adams has a more consistent record.

The only thing in Dennis’ favour is that he is already here but I can’t see him as anything more than a bench warmer.

Ihenacho scored 6 goals in 26 matches last season.
Dennis scored 4 in 17.

Adams scored 15 in 40, so he does have a better record, but he's more likely to be playing as a lone striker and the focal point.

None of these scoring records are very good for the Premier League, so if we're looking for a backup/bench warming striker who only plays a bit part or when our other strikers are all injured, any of them will do, which is why Dennis is preferable for me, what with him already being here.

Then again, alot of this depends on whether we could get a reasonable fee for Dennis and then pick one of the others up, in which case we are simply in profit land.

I can't see Dennis being worth more than a few million though. I'm not sure any Championship team is going to want to pay more than £2.5 million for a 4 goal a year forward.

How many direct mistakes led to goals against though?

He would have to assist or score a few each season just to break even

It's not a witch hunt by me but I'm just being pragmatic in what he's actually worth to us points wise compared to the money we could sell him for

And let's not forget we are his stepping stone
Is pragmatic your word of the day or is it just another word for boring.

The fact that Chelsea and spurs are considering £50 million bids for him, is more meaningful than your constant diatribes against him.

I guess club executives and financiers staking their jobs and reputations to the tune of £50 million grabs more attention than an overly negative “pragmatist” on vital.
