Vs Brighton.

Anderson was getting frustrated with Sels booting the ball upfield at every opportunity.. he finally got sels to pass out to him and gave him an encouraging clap.

There was a few times when Dyche was shouting at Sels to kick it long and Anderson was asking for the ball.

Disappointing result and I have to agree with pope that we’ve got to stop with this bollocks playing one winger and one striker at home - it’s always awful and we always end up changing and we always end up better.

People were very up themselves criticising that comment when we beat Leeds but I made the point that better opposition wouldn’t allow us the luxury of getting back into it going 1-0 down and so it proved.

Thought Jesus was outstanding as a lone striker and I thought Sels was superb in keeping the scoreline down. Hutchinson came on and made a huge difference - shock horror! He’ll start to become very bitter if he’s not getting starts. Football isn’t just about goals and assists - it’s about how you change the way the opposition play, and we went from being ridiculously overloaded at full back to them being pressed back… why? Because we had a winger that was not just capable of beating his man and putting in a cross, but one that was WILLING to in Hutchinson.

unfortunately, it’s why I just don’t rate Dan Ndoye - I think he’s bang average. Doesn’t stretch teams enough and doesn’t deliver enough quality. He has the occasional moment, but more often than not, he gets the ball, pulls back and plays it to the full back. In the end, that’s nowhere near good enough when you compare it to the outputs of both Hutchinson and Mintah for Brighton.

Hudson-Odoi no better, but sadly for i him im not so convinced its driven by a lack of willingness to go for it, but more that he simply struggles when he can’t commit his one trick of cutting inside.

All in all, we weren’t terrible (after the first 25 minute horror show), but we’re got to start playing our best 11 from the start, especially at home. Won’t even talk about Morato because we all know he’s not good enough for where we want to be.

The Guardian agree with you: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-10-talking-points-from-the-weekends-football

Dominguez and Ndoye were dreadful. Milenkovic bollocked them many times. They could and should have been 4-0 up at half time, with three great chances in the first 7 minutes.

I had my head in my hands several times in that first half

We need woody back and play wingers.

Remember Port Stanley

Hey up, chap!

Why should Collymore bring the Christmas drinks, thought he was tee-total?

Totally agree. I actually think dyche was considering changing it even earlier than he did.

Thought we deserved a draw yesterday.
Crap first 20 but better team from then on.
Two gifted goals.
Should have equalised before the catastrophic second. Jesus very unlucky with his chance , couple inches to the side and keeper wouldn't get his toes to it.
He doesn't seem to get much luck which is a bit of a worry.

Agreed Orbs,
The first 20 minutes aside we were good value and in the second half were unquestionably the better team. I’m a little worried about our luck or lack thereof this season too. Watched the highlights of the other games from the weekend and there were loads of lucky goals or abject defending - Fulham’s brace at Spurs for starters and Brightons against us both had elements of luck and shit defence. In addition we’ve had some worldie’s scored against us in previous games, Arsenal & Man U spring to mind. As Napoleon once said “I’d rather have a lucky general than a good one” let’s hope Dychey proves to be both.

We really can't afford to start matches that slowly, yesterdays game could have been over before we'd decided to participate in it.

If we start similarly on Wednesday, it will give a poor, but better since Edwards arrived Wolves team encouragement, the crowd will get up for it even more & we could quite easily give Wolves their first win, which to be honest I am really worried about happening anyway, as making bad teams look good has always been something we're good at

We must start on front foot & try to in them back & quieten the crowd, oh & sticking the ball in their net might help a bit as well
