After Vinnies display at the barcodes, and bearing in mind the the pace that RM will have, inspirational as he is, I think he needs to be on the Bertie, along with Yaya.

Mangler and the Otter are developing a partnership , and both have pace, with occasional outbursts of rashness, but served us well against PSG.

Yaya's legs have gone , and today picked up a knock, which for me says bench at best .

DS ? Looked better today , but not got the pace or speed of thought of KDB now, and they both try to control the same space.

A clean sheet at home could be the key to this tie (Although it didn't help VfB)

The bench is the easiest to name.

Yaya, DS, KI, Zaba, Kolorov, + RS and god help me Wilf.

Re centre of defence - I've said all along that we will see the best of Mangala once he adapts to the pace of the PL.

Equally I am sure we'll see the best of Otamendi when he gets used to the shape of the ball.

They didn't look too bad today, Mangala unlucky not to score with a short back pass.

Pellers was ensuring none of his main go to guys were taken out today, Sergio must have insisted in playing, but he too got the hook early doors when the game was safe.

Seac spot on about Yaya too easily dispossessed of late, Kompany not enough minutes under his legs but although our much maligned pair have been bonding, even today you had your heart in your mouth when they were all over the shop and I doubt if RM will spurn the chances that Stoke did.

VK4 is the guide the calming influence on Mandgala, but the starters is one which we should try and get a first leg lead Ladyboy or no Ladyboy, real are not a one man team but not unbeatable.

Merlin must play- will lift his game against fellow spaniards especially with the euros coming up. Yaya was average to shite last night against a dreadful Stoke team so needs a long rest- maybe until late August.

 
Madrid are certainly not a one man team, but they may be forced to play a 4231 against us if two of their front three are out due to injury. In the big games you play your big players because they perform well under pressure, so VK plays for me. Yaya maybe injured so the two Ferns play with Red Kev right and Merlin left. I would take a chance and go two up front at home like we did against Stoke.
 
Pelegrini confirmed that Yaya is out and may miss Southampton at the weekend too, blessing in disguise?

Possibly, but I would rather have had him available on the bench.
