I got a Gorilla pod in the States for $20!! Bargain. Tubbz were those shots taken with the Nikon, they are great?

Got mine off Amazon for £14.99 , they are still £31+ now, must have been a price cock up !

Thanks, that rock just jumped out at you. TBH I don't get inspiration very often, and most shots I take are very very ordinary. Just now and again one jumps out so much even I can't miss it! I wish I had the talent and ability to get some really amazing shots. Tubbz has taken some brilliant ones. Do you partake much Mutt_Man?

:3: err nope .... i found it hard with just the old insta pic cams lol

But it's not hard to see a great pic when you look at one.

I'm going down the banks of the Thames in a couple of weeks to do some night time shots with a mate so i'll be sure to post some up

They are HDR shots which are 3 photo's taken at 3 different light levels then put on top of each other

This techknowledgy is being put into the new C905 from Sony Ericcson

There is an excellent site that allows you too create HDR shots from .raw images without the need to take 3 or more photo's at different light levels

Wow very difficult to get right, you will need a tripod and lots of patience. Good luck!

I have a new digital camera and want to take photos that look decent on the thing but I cant work out what options im supposed to use and when, for instance when I take closeup photos on 15Mp it can blur sometimes unless i leave the camera on a table or flat surface still any fast movements and its not captured so i cheat and use HD video mode and screenshot from it.
But how do i take decent photos when its slightly dark we took a team photo recently and it looks very weird, no flash was used is that the problem?

this is the camera if it helps - http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/6536509/Samsung-NV100-HD-14-7-Megapixel-Digital-Camera-With-Face-Detection-Technology/Product.html

Does your camera have preset settings, for night portraits etc? In simple terms as I understand it, at night you need the exposure to be longer. The trouble with that is that it may often become blurred, unless you use a tripod.Alternatively you could use flash, but that does not make for such good photos.
