You are doing an absolutely brilliant job on this thread. I’m sure you often look at the table and think about who deserves bonus points. I was wondering if you would consider adding two more points to my total. Obviously a man as intelligent and supportive as your good self would need an extremely appropriate reason for this. Perhaps I can suggest one.

I note that TQ predicted a win by one goal. I predicted a win by 3 goals. Therefore my prediction was far closer than that man from Devon and worthy of more points than he earned. Also, it would relegate TQ to his rightful position, that being second place. This might seem harsh on TQ but I believe it will motivate and inspire him to do better in the future, which would be to his benefit (he'll thank me in the long run). So, by adding two points to my total I think you can see that you would be doing the right thing for both of us.

There is the possibility that there might be a backlash from one or two other posters but I am sure you are resolute enough to withstand this and you can simply point out that they are out of the race in any case. Some people are just poor losers.

Can we keep this suggestion just between you and me. Cheers mate.

From one of your staunchest supporters who also got the score correct last night , and predicted an aggressive, intense performance ….and got his points in a proper manner…. Above board and honest .

You mustn’t forget that Geof gets the results 24 hours ahead of all of us here in Blighty so I think he is just trying his luck , hoping you won’t realise .

Scott I’m more than concerned for our antipodean comrade. He has regular delusions which I think are related to going boggle eyed trying to follow the corks dangling from his slowly decomposing hat. These delusions, as is usual for this syndrome, are of grandeur and is best cured by taking away the reasons for such outrageous expectations. It could be that a points deduction is appropriate in this instance but not relegation to the second tier. In this way you may avoid legal action from a bunch of kangaroo riding southern hemisphere lawyers. Best keep these concerns to yourself mate.
