Some interesting observations:
** Some fans are expecting to see Elliott Whitehouse released at the end of his contract, yet the ratings do not bear that out. Whitehouse finished seventh in the overall ratings, and an excellent fifth away from home.
** Ditto Luke Waterfall. Some fans questioned the extent of his involvement this season and even suggest he should be replaced, but the captain finished fifth in the overall ratings. His contribution was very strong both at home (third on 6.970) and away (sixth on 6.672).
** Matt Rhead scored much higher marks at home (fourth on 6.880) than away (fourteenth on 6.249). Likewise his strike partner Matt Green (seventh on 6.804 at home and sixteenth on 6.224 away).
** Last season's Mr Consistent Sam Habergham was Mr Consistent again, scoring 6.416 at home and 6.469 away. Ditto Alex Woodyard, with 6.872 at home and 6.896 away.
** Six of the top nine were here last season, suggesting that they made the step up to League football very well.
** Scott Wharton scored a very high average mark despite the application of a high multiplier.
** Josh Vickers was our best goalkeeper; Neal Eardley our best defender; Michael Bostwick our best midfielder; Matt Rhead our best striker.
** Ollie Palmer was our best striker away.
** Sean Raggett was our best loanee, followed by Scott Wharton.
