My biggest fallouts with him were me pointing out loads of shite stuff that was happening behind the scenes under Fawaz

He had bigged up Fawaz from before he even became owner and just stood behind everything he did

I was pointing out stuff about how naive Fawaz was and money issues paying bills. Interfering with team selection. Trying to get kuwaitis into the pre season friendlies. Telling scouts to fake kuwaiti scouting reports to get signings approved in tribunals.

And this was all described as a "shrewd businessman at work"

The thing was in all the back and forth I knew my stuff was correct as I had direct contacts working in the club having to deal with it all.

Whereas Jom was just clinging on to Fawaz being as great as he had promised

It went further back than even Fawaz because Jom had told us all about an amazing new owner coming our way. But he had got that wrong as well as fawaz wasnt even in the picture when jom had promised how good he was. There was another ownership group that were given priority. At some stage john Pye confirmed this at which stage i found out I was chums with John Pye as well as Mark Arthur. And they were all haters because nobody was backing up joms stories.

Occasionally i had pleasant chats with jom by pm. Next day he would be using stuff i had told him as his inside info and calling me a hater again. He was a master at work

Basically whether he was a nice guy in real life i have no argument with. But on here I knew 100% he was a bullshitter as back then I had contacts inside the club telling me exactly what was going on. And he quite clearly to me was just blatantly making stuff up all the time.

In the end it all played out and there was no doubt Fawaz was the naive clown and the furthest from a shrewd businessman you could get

Wolf when I read bits and pieces on the forum years ago, before I even made an account, I think I remember you being referred to as ITK?

Some people seemed to think you had intel at least or friends in high places or something?

Am I misremembering?

Lol. Clearly thats an opinion Im allowed to question. I just laugh thinking about it now though.

I guess somewhere out there is a guy who actually did build a garage for Mark Arthur who has no idea he had 5 minutes of fame on vitalforest😄

Or maybe MA never even had a garage built?

Who fookin knows?

Maybe Mark Arthur saw all that and fell out with his garage builder for supposedly passing info out on here?

I sure did back then. Very high up contacts.

For many years and for many years before Vital even existed as well. A few contacts but one or two particularly close.

I still know them all very well A few are no longer alive. They are all retired now but still have strong links with the club as guests etc

Very little info reaches them now though worth passing on

But whilst some are alive I dont want to divulge any more than that. And you would understand why if you knew.

Sorry if that sounds precious. Its honestly not. Just personal reasons I wouldnt want people to know right now. Time might be right one day in the future to tell some fun and interesting stories on here.

Mark Arthur certainly wasnt one of them. Mine were on the football side of the club.

One thing that genuinely did happen is Alan Bexon the security chief at Forest contacting Kev Finnegan who ran this place to try and get info about who I was and shut me down etc

Kev warned me and as far as I know refused to help

Bear in mind also throughout all this I was a genuine, proper Forest fan who wanted us to do well.

So I made sure nothing I posted on here could impact our chances on the pitch or closing deals on signings. I was careful on that. Also I didnt want to drop my contacts in the shite either

One example was one of my very first posts on Vital I think

I came on to say one of our key players would be missing playoff semi final with illness. Deliberately wouldnt name him to avoid helping opposition if they found out who.

I was on ltlf before that. Had posted plenty on there before. But when i wouldnt name the player a few were having a go at me on ltlf. So i moved here instead hoping it was more grown up over here with less kids.

Player was Chris Cohen who had got the mumps

Funny thing was Old jom pretended it was old news and he knew who it was etc but like me wouldnt name him lol

Something like that. I know his first post to me was very sarcastic etc. And i had to thank him for the "less than warm welcome"

i remember - when searching up for forest news your name used to always come up on twitter.

maybe thats how the likes of Jim Price registered on here - he used to view here and give information to redspark. there were a few things leaked on here .
 
I was able to break new signings before they happened.

Some i did with cryptic clues

Got them all right apart from Whittingham who the club thought they had got but it fell through last minute.

Jom absolutely loved it when that happened.

So was Jom just a straight bullshitter or did he actually have any connections?

Again, much less material than you guys to draw from but I vaguely remember him insisting we had signed Matt Mills from Donny…

He was an absolute fraud of an ITK. He would try to cover all possible outcomes with his goss so he could never be wrong.

Peaked when the club was up for sale in 2011/12 as he told us all to look East, the Americans were coming, dont rule out the Irish and to keep tabs on the Coolmore boys.

I also recall it kicking off when he claimed to have a holiday cottage in Devon and offered use of it to another poster for her & her son to use for free, and he could get his contact to chuck in a signed Forest shirt or something.

That poster arranged the dates with Jom, told her son about the holiday etc only for it to turn the holiday cottage didnt exist.

These are the Vital glory years we're talking about here

Pretty much it

Used to play us all off in pms as well to get info as well. I used to go along with him a bit. A few days later hed be calling me a hater again for picking him up on something

I reckon very occasionally he got a small bit of info from random places in amongst a load of manipulation of others and just vague statements that could have meant anything

He had guaranteed on here we had been sold about 6 to 9 months before it happened. To new owners who were going to be amazing for us. We then had about 3 different consortiums come along and be given priority to buy (prefferred bidder status) he then had to somehow pretend each one was the one he told us had already done the deal 6 months earlier.

And he had a group of followers who incredibly swallowed every word he said and he managed to hoodwink them that when Fawaz eventually bought us this was who he had promised 9 months earlier 😄

Anything said by anyone at the club like Mark Arthur or John Pye etc that contradicted Joms story that we were already sold led to him calling them haters and becoming one of my "chums"

And he could never disclose who the owners were he had promised had already bought us hence his comments

Look East but dont rule out the Irish or the Yanks.

Something like that😄
 
Despite all of my fallouts with him i consider him a fantastic character and loveable rogue.

If hes still around and came back on here to post it would be fun for sure.
