Cheers guys, means a lot. What a day and firstly let me lead by saying hands down worst procedure I’ve ever had…. Horrific!

They wanted to go through arm artery but after 5 attempts at throwing darts they decided through the groin. Get that in and feel the device going up to the heart which is strange…. But then you feel like you are having a heart murmur or weird stroke and you can see the device moving on the x ray and it feels awful

Aside from the lady moving the table up instead of down so I smacked my mush on the x ray all went well, slight spasm in my arm so they gave me fentanyl which made me feel all very hip

So yeah, that was horrid but weirdly the wirstvifvny day was yet to come, they take the groin artery needle out and pressure for 10 mins then put strong sticky covering over it…. Didn’t think too much as I was laying flat.

Cut to 1 hour later need the loo and desperate for a dump, hobble to toilet as she said try and keep leg straight where possible.

Get to loo and I keep getting half way down and groin twangs with pain, so I think look , need to crap but if o straighten leg and plonk down last bit.. all good

As I plonked, it was at this moment I felt a rather unpleasant and rather bracing pain hit me… panic mode set in but wasn’t the artery…. It was at this moment I realised as I was flat she was chatting and slapped the sticker on not only 3/4 of my pubes but also a small guinea pig worth of leg hair… the tape had a struggle until both sets of curlers were yanked out

I may have winced

On return I asked kindly for new strip and I helped position it for future loo breaks
You could... Feel it inside you?

Enough internet for today.

Glad for you that it's ok and you're ok, I'm off to throw up a little bit

Yup it makes your heart flutter and you feel it.. seriously awful shit
Talking of weird sensations (obviously nowhere near as uncomfortable as you had mate) but has anyone ever tried one of those Revitive pads you put your feet on ? My legs have been particularly painful recently so i took the plunge and bought one , sitting here now having a go for the first time and it is weird as fuck , all these different strong electrical impulses going up my legs in different patterns , can't say i like it very much but i'm hoping it's going to help.

Yeah had mine few years, love it! Few tips…. Don’t do it straight after bath/shower as wet/moist feet make it super lively!

Also once you get to 50…press it again and it goes up more! I do 75 as I’m a glutton for punishment 😂

Bloody hell i was on 40 and turned it down to 30 ! maybe it's because first time using it and just felt so weird ? i'll tell you what though even after 1 session my legs are not as stiff this morning , early signs are really promising . Might take me a while to try a 50 though let alone a 75 o_O

That sounds great.

I have ordered one of those Veriflow contraptions, which come highly recommended and are on a half price offer at the moment

Yeah must admit i only jumped on this as i got it reduced from £350 to £250 , not expecting miracles as my left leg around the knee has a lot of metalwork in it and is pretty knackered to be honest but if it just helps with the muscle aches i get in both legs i'll be more than happy. Hope your device helps too .

how are your hips?

i had nerve pain down my legs for years. i got a hip replacement and it stopped it. should have done it years earlier.

My hips are OK at the moment but because i've been walking with a slight limp and off balance since i had my leg op (high tibial osteotomy) about 7 years ago i should think it's just a matter of time before that starts playing me up .
The op i had was a procedure to buy me more time (about 10-15 years they said ) before i need a knee replacement. I do have problems with sciatica bottom of back and down that leg.

How long was your recovery for your hip replacement jock ?
Gradually feel better after a year. Good and bad days. Nothing is as bad as a knee replacement which I found barbaric. I was out next day from the hospital with the hip. 3 days in hospital for the knee .

That pain down the back of your leg could be from your hip causing it. I had similar symptoms. Trapped nerve. It went for me as soon as I got my hip replaced. They are all connected.

Geez. I know a fair few people with knee replacements and not one has said it was easy

There was a Polish man in my room the night I got it done. The nurse asked him out of 10 what is the pain like and he cried 10.

Its bad

Im about ten weeks in now (8 weeks since op), so any advice on these devices your all (@orbitalforest @mao tse tung @Southern red @the jock) using, im all ears. Thank you.

I'm only a couple of days in with the Revitive but convinced it's helping my circulation and i'm not quite as stiff as usual (oooh matron) so i'm pleased with early signs . Good luck with your recovery Mapp , hope you're back in tip top condition soon

Hi Mapp
I have just purchased one of those circulation boosters.

I looked at the Revitive but ended up buying a brand called Veloflowi, which came highly recommended.

This is not just a circulation booster for the feet - it has pads that you hook up to the console which allows you to work other parts of the body and a belt for the back.

It should have cost over £600 but I got one for half price, which makes it a similar price to Revitive. The only problem was the two weeks it took to ship from China.

Only had it a few days but it is pretty damn good.

The intensity levels go up to 90 - I managed 30 on my lower back but managed to get up to 70 on my feet - although it was not in any way uncomfortable, its wierd sitting and watching your toes curling in and uncurling in an involuntary manner.
