Don't know that it is "vindication" for what we have all been saying, but agree that it shows the quality we have within the squad. The game of course went perfectly for us and was akin to the Burton & Barnsley games. I don't think we were massively better than the opposition on any of those occasions, but things certainly fell into place for us.

The shape, the application, the speed, the ball retention was way better than we have seen previously. I can only put it down to the input of Steve Agnew, and this may be borne out by the next few performances and the "luck" that Whelan was unavailable necessitating the inclusion of Elphick and Jedinak in his best role.

Whatever we call it, it was a fantastic start to the year and this kind of performance can be the catalyst to galvanise the squad - don't underestimate player confidence, it carried Leicester to the title after all. 100% for 2018, let's see how long we can ride the wave. :94:

"Clearly, everything isn't going to fall into place like it did against Bristol City very often, but a more positive attitude will go a long way towards better performances, better results, and a more positive vibe around the Club and its fans."

This. Exactly this. All I really expect is a positive attitude and players doing their best, having a go at teams. Some we'll lose, but with the players we have available, most we will win.

Confidence came into it a lot; it came after we scored the first goal. The difference is that this time it spurred us on rather than us desperately protecting the lead, like some club down the bottom of the league. That is what we have to keep doing.

Another factor is that Bristol C didn't park the bus. We need to be able to defeat teams which do.

We can do it. We have the players to do it, in spite of (or because of?) injuries. We have to do it.
