Despite Aston Villa's further improved eleventh placed finish in the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, there was lingering disappointment from many in the fanbase as it really should've been a few places higher, but whatever excuses can be offered, the fact is our form fell off a cliff for way too long.

I'm amazed I got to the end of the season. I was only going to write one for the Brighton game!
