Villa v Sunderland, Tuesday 21st Nov. 7:45pm kick off

Pride of Lions

I am now official
Well, not much time to recover and prepare for Chris Coleman's fist match in charge at Sunderland.

Hopefully we've got no more injuries and can go out with an unchanged team. Sunderland will be up for it, so I expect another tough one. I go for a 2-1 win to Villa.

I wonder what kind of 'new manager bounce' can Sunderland really expect? They are an utter shambles of a club, far worse than we were I would say. They are dropping like a stone and it's hard to see any hope for them to be honest.

Even with our injuries, I expect a routine win from this one. A comfortable 2- or 3-0 victory with Keinan Davis getting the goal or two his play deserves.

:94:

One of those worrying games where the worry is the players will think "we only need to turn up for this one to get three points"

The attitude has to be right from the moment that whistle blows, you could tell from the off that it was going to be one of those days v Sheff Wed,

If we play with the same formation and same commitment as yesterday we will win, and could win handsomely, but if they just drop it slightly, it will be another missed opportunity.

I think we will and I will go for 3-0 win.

And once it goes to that, get a few of them rested. Adomah and Onomah could be replaced by O'Hare and Grealish and Jedi for Whelan or Hourihane.

Do NOT take Davis off, the guy just needs to keep this going.

3-0 and a very nice rendition of DLBIA at full time please !

Agree completely with the attitude part Holtelower, we need to treat the game like any other game. As with Bolton I’ll take a stubborn 1-0 home victory, obviously a 3 or 4 goal margin would be great but I don’t think we’re that good yet.

I will also take a stuborn 1-0 as well danvilla2, unless we put one in the back of the net in the first 10 minutes, in which case I think they will fold, new manager or no new manager.

The new manager bounce worries me Den. They will come and park the bus .

How much 'bounce' can they get though? They are pretty much the worst team in England at the moment, and Chris Coleman is hardly Jose Mourinho. He may or may not save them, but for once, I am going into a game with nothing to fear.

Cheer up mate!

Sorry, screw the new manager bounce.

Bounce my arse (oo errrr!). No such thing if we play as we should
They are shit, Coleman is bang average at best and Sunderland are a complete mess of a club. Far more of a mess than we were. They are the bottom of the league having won one game all season. No way should this be anything else but a win.

No new manager bounce for David Moyes. Why?. Wet Spam are playing shit Watford are not at the moment. The fact of Moyes being in his first game was made irrelevant.

I'd be shocked if Coleman did anything other than play for 0-0.

His only job for next 12 games is to try and make them solid and grind results ala Bruce in his first 12 games.

We're really looking at Davis to try bully a demoralised backline.

The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Aston Villa and Sunderland this Tuesday.

It goes without saying that this bumbling oaf will join the list of referees who have demonstrated their incompetence at Villa Park this season.

And the linesmen won't be any better either.

Really cocked up with this Florida holiday missing two home game , I'm relying on you lads to keep me up to speed as we thrash these mackem no hopers !

Spot on. Coleman won't be able to do anything in a few days. I'm sure he's not happy that his first game is us.

I think the first goal is really important. If we get it, they will collapse. If they get it, fuck it, I think we'll still win.

Fuck Sunderland, we're the Villa and we're going up!
