Villa v Derby County, Saturday 28th April, 3pm kick off

So, as a footnote to what was, for personal reasons, one of the best days at the Villa in my life - my brother tweeted Paul McGrath with the photo of him with my daughter and ‘God’ not only replied but re-tweeted the message!

Should have added earlier, she didn’t want the photo - got shy and hugged me. Paul crouched down and said “don’t worry sweetheart, come here for a picture”. After I’d taken two his ‘people’ told him they had to go, to which he replied “let’s have one more for luck on her first game. Is that OK beautiful? One more for you.” After that I shook his hand and said “thank you” - an utter gentleman.

32 of our 72 goals have been scored in the first half. That's 44%.

I'd say that's a pretty good argument against your claim that we always try to get into half time at 0-0. I do wonder what other people are watching sometimes.
One thing is certain, I watched an awful half of football in the first half, the second half got better as Bruce changed it and the team became more attacking. Fair stats though I agree

Largest home crowd for him i guess - he would have played at Arsenal, Man U etc with bigger crowds.

That's an incredible stat.

Good on him. Took him 20 odd years but he finally made it to a big club. Proper rags to riches story that warms the heart.
