With reports surfacing on Monday that Dr Tony Xia was looking to sell Aston Villa, the club have quickly rubbished those reports.

It probably is rubbish but has anyone ever thought this theory as to why Xia bought us.

Xia is the head of a property development company who were little known if at all in the UK.

Since he bought us I think a lot of people now know who he is and what he does.

Birmingham needs a lot of redevelopment to keep pace with London and Manchester.

I would have thought he is now in pole position to gain a lot of business when it takes place.

Will he then need Villa - probably not.

If we are in the prem by then he may still show interest - but if we are still floundering around in the chumps and having to keep investing a fortune I'm sure his interest will wane.

There were sale rumours?

I'm always curious why foreign owners want to buy football clubs. Some of them have been conmen and asset strippers and I don't think Dr X is that. They say it was to gain favour with the Communist Party bosses. How much is that worth to him? How many millions does he have to lose to think enough is enough?

Randy never seemed to know what to do with us once he'd bought us and then lost interest when it wasn't easy anymore.

Just the media trying to create a story out of nothing... Here in the US they make up stuff about the president and the Russians and airlines. Most pro sports get a free pass....
