I thought Xia had lost control and interest but I didn't expect something as shambolic and embarrassing as being chased by HMRC. This suggests to me that rather than plain incompetence something more sinister has been going on with the mysterious Recon group and FFP is just a convenient excuse for the club having no money. What I'm certain off, is that when the creditors are lining up for their handout Micah Richards will be in the queue, with his rubber glove and his bucket, readying to milk the Villa teat. He's probably on the blower now. "Show me the money."

I can confirm from personal experience (being appointed to restructure financially challenged businesses) that HMRC rarely file a Winding Up Petition when an organisation is "only" one month in arrears.....if the club is as reported subject to a WUP then we are seriously *ucked....unless: a) there has been an administrative oversight (unlikely given that PAYE is due monthly and VAT quarterly) or b) there is a cash injection...
Either a sale or player fire sale appears due imminently
