What's happened to Richards , he's not even mentioned anymore , I'd love to kick his arse all the way back to Manchester the waster
 
Micah Richards is a disgrace. Overweight, overpaid, over high opinion of himself.
He's bled the club dry of money as did lescott and plenty more .

Two players born in the city and all, the local Villa players of the 19th and through to mid 20th century must be turning in their grave.
 
Don't like his tweet one bit.

1- is it supposed to be reassuring the fans by saying everyone is working hard?. Yet all leave is cancelled. Assuming that is not tongue in cheek. Why is it so desperate and what's going on behind the scenes to necessitate leave being cancelled!
2- what reality?. Reality as to what happens if we don't go up i.e bad shit, or reality that Bruce is under threat of things don't improve.

More worrying than reassuring.
 
I'd like to know who has been grated leave at this stage of the season who would materially affect our situation? Surely none of the players or coaches? Games come thick and fast all through the season, and no more so than over the winter/Christmas period.

Bizarre thing to say. If it's meant to make him sound in control and decisive, I beg to differ. Just sounds a bit silly.
 
I think "all leave cancelled" is just a figure of speech, it means nothing. Its just Wyness way of saying the club hierachy are aware of the situation and fan unrest.
I think this is meant to buy Bruce time and stop the moaning.
I wouldnt expect anything to happen any time soon.
 
Bruce said post match after Brentford they'd be training the next morning so I'm not sure there is actually any leave .

I'd much rather he'd tweeted "This is unacceptable horse shit and everyone at the club will do what is necessary to put things right."
 
Presumably there's a fair amount going on behind the scenes. For example getting in loan signings if possible in January, early if possible. There could be a load of other things going on which we know nothing about. For example making sure Plan B is well advanced if Bruce does depart (if that option is on the radar). So the "all leave cancelled etc" could refer to behind the scenes activities.

The tweet's a bit puzzling though. Why was it necessary, at least in that form? Slightly worried about the "hard questions being asked"; that could mean courses of action being taken which none of us want to see. Or it could mean simply asking "is Bruce the man for job", but I've got a gut feeling it may not be.
 
A panic output [triggered by?] from those at the local helm using social media which has done nothing but increase speculation, heighten unrest and cause bewilderment by stating that leave had been granted [ to whoever] during such a crucial phase of the season

Both of those things could be a normal part of everyday business or signs of severe financial problems at the club depending on the context.
 
What’s a ridiculous and ambiguous tweet. It’s the busiest time of the year .... who has leave at a football club? They’ve cancelled the Christmas’s break for the shop staff? Did it underperform? Come on villa, get the tweets right at least. Lol.

That's an old story BB , which Dr Tony rubbished.
 
I thought they had months off in the summer and during international breaks etc

I didn’t realise they get holiday during season as well, not a bad life is it.

It’s the coaching and management that needs to improve, until then I have no idea how good the players actually are on the whole.

Most of the players we have in the squad I have been impressed with playing against us, so I have to believe they would come good with a team plan and strategy.

 
"Hard decisions" can cover a huge range of possibilities e.g.

(1) We need to change direction: thank you Steve and goodbye.

(2) We absolutely need more signings, so we'll flog off the four players from last January who aren't making the team, add in Jack for good measure, and give Steve the money he wants.

Know which one I'd prefer :10:

They only work a couple of hours a day. One of their biggest problems is finding ways to fill their time, the poor little flowers.
