Villa's Fab Four

Here is one for the future or the near future anyway.

Be interesting to see how many of the four really make the grade.

Imagine having Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Callum O’Hare, Andre Green and Keinan Davis leading the line for your under-23s.

Well, that’s exactly what the Aston Villa fans who made the short journey down to Walsall’s Bescot Stadium last night saw in the flesh.

Decided to do a poll now. Votes for who we think may make it , or how many of the 4 will without naming who.

That makes very encouraging reading Sir Dennis.

I really hope these guys come good, it's been an age since we had 'one of our own' come through and really make some noise, so it's long overdue.

:94:

EDIT: As for the poll, I reckon Green and O'Hare are the ones to watch, but really hope all 4 make it.

This is an interesting one as I think it massively depends on what division we are in.

If we fail to get promoted I don't think we'll have much choice but to reply heavily on all 4 of them next season, and from what I've seen I think they could all have a decent impact.

If we get promoted though I can only see Green getting game time in the Prem.

You'd have to imagine we'd strengthen significantly in the transfer market to make it very difficult for O'Hare. RHM or Davis to get a look in.

'make it' for us or playing elsewhere ?

not sure any will get much of a go for us as long as we can loan players from the big boys

2 or 3 of them have decent shot if they move on though

No make it for us. They are all "our players" who have come up through the youth system except for Davis .

Wish this had been a multiple choice poll !

I've voted Green. If he can get over the injury worries, I think he could be an absolute star.

I have nothing to base anything on with regards to Hepburn Murphy, I've not seen him play enough.

I think O'Hare has a shout, not sure if he'll break premiership level, but should have a good career. I would love to see him do well for us in the Prem, he has the determination and attitude in spades.

Not sure with Davis, he's still learning, so hard to fully judge. Has some very good games and to be fair, like most of our strikers (until Agnew came in?) weren't getting the service. Be interesting to see if he makes the right runs and starts to score if he gets the service. Certainly has a chance.

Well out of the 4 I would go O'Hare , Hepburn-Murphy and Davis in that order , they are all technically pretty good which stands any footballer in good stead. Green I am not sure about as he is quick , but I would like to see more quality on the ball.

Quite exciting though as they all have a chance and would know each others game inside out.

Didn't think or know how to do about the multiple choice option JF , if you want to redo it and merge then fine.

Don;t think I'll have time mate. Can't merge one poll to the other would have to edit answers out and move to the new one.

I went for the lot. There's none of them who you can say with confidence that they'll be shipped out because they're not good enough. Sure there are questions; Davis needs to develop his game, RHM needs to stay injury free, and so on, but nothing which means they won't go further.

I've gone for O'Hare and Green.

At the moment, my thinking is Davis needs to add some goals to his game. RHM, well due to his injury problems of late, we haven't really seen a lot of him, so I hold back my judgement on him.

The U-23's won 4-0 this afternoon , with O'Hare and 2 from RHM amongst the scorers.

Against Middlesborough. Before the game we were level pegging with them. We're now on top of the division.

Let's hope that achievement gets translated to the seniors :94:
