"Wanyama, who travelled to Morocco for national team duty accompanied by a physio attached to his English club Tottenham Hotspur, flew out of the Stars camp at the Le Vizir Parc and Resort in Marrakech on Sunday, hours after scoring the opening goal in Kenya's 2-2 draw against Comoros on Saturday.
At times during training in Marrakech this past week, Wanyama seemed to experience discomfort on his left knee, which he hurt while training with his club in pre-season last July. The 27-year-old player currently requires medical checks and physiotherapy after each training session and game. "We had discussions with Tottenham and agreed to release him after the Comoros game. The league season in England is at a crucial stage and his club says they desperately need his services at this point," said Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa."

That basically means that since he has been back since December he has not fully recovered from the injury that kept him out since the start of the season. It feels like we are patching him up until the end of season and will have to figure out whether it's complete rest, more physio or surgery that gets him back to his best for next season.

Just shows how important Sissoko's role will be in the coming weeks along with first choice Dier and Dembele. Let's hope they all stay fully fit.

Good find muttley.

That's some extraordinary precautions we've taken; his fitness and his rehab on his knee must be giving a few some real concern.

Not good.

Couple of days old, but here's link if anyone wants the full story - http://allafrica.com/stories/201803270449.html

He was a great addition last season, he's been badly missed this season, what a shame. :23:

Him being injured has made us massively weaker in the middle. Dier for me isn't first 11 quality anymore and Sissoko is not good enough. We need to up grade in the summer. Too many injury prone players and players not at a high enough standard.
