Vital Football Legend
"Over recent years the Oyston family have been unfair to me on many occasions. "Even worse – the Oystons have not kept their own promises made to me through various letters and texts.

This approach continues – the Oystons having now missed their own deadline of April 6 for paying their debt according to the court order made by His Honour Judge Smith. "The repeated rhetoric as to the possibility that the club may go into administration by Owen is unfounded, ill-directed and is in essence delinquency against Blackpool Football Club.

"How can a club that has loaned tens of millions of pounds to Blackpool Football Club Properties (formerly Segesta) be insolvent? There is no slightest sign of it – Blackpool Football Club Properties Limited simply needs to return the cash that has been taken from the club back to where it belongs. "I would ask Owen not to continue with his rhetoric - I will not fall for it. "All this makes it very difficult for me to trust Owen anymore.

He calls me to enter into negotiations with him but I do not see any reason why should I. Enough is enough. I will now continue to follow the legal route and do it so decidedly. "Once it’s done, I will meet and seriously discuss my potential involvement in the football club in the future together with a majority local investor. "I have no knowledge nor cannot comment about any potential bidders for the club at the moment. Nobody has approached me nor given me any information in this regard. "If Owen truly wants to help the club, he needs to prove and acknowledge his wrongdoings. I want him to meet the terms of all court order obligations without unnecessary delay. "The new season is not that far away – the club needs stability and its supporters finally deserve a new regime that will develop the club in all directions."

Worrying.
Is there a local investor?
Will the FA even consider revoking their decision around fit and proper?

What does worry me is that the season ends in 3 weeks and nothing looks like being in place to prep for next season.

A few comments:
1. This statement is partly about bringing some reality to O and bringing to an end the latters game playing. O never does anything unless he is forced and VB Isn't going to let him off the hook, especially as the club will need major investment after O has gone. Once a couple of O's key assets go to auction, he will come to the table in a drastic way
2. Local investor can be defined as UK based, not necessarily NW based. I don't who they are but those in the know with VB say the investor is in place and ready to run. VB has been very consistent that he wants a minority interest with a local investor, not to own the club outright. He may well hear something from the EFL this month.
3. The other reference to not knowing who the other investors are is a separate reference to Os statement from last week. I thought at the time that statement was bulls*t and that the investors were a fantasy and still do.

The fit and proper ruling is from the EFL not the FA.
VB’s legal advisers, Clifford Chance have been in contact with the EFL and it is hoped they will rectify their mistaken ruling agains VB very soon.
There is a lot going on ‘behind the scenes’...
An announcement is expected from the EFL within the next few days.

Whilst there is an O about then everything is uncertain. I really worry what is going to happen at the end of the season with no new owner in place.
