After a five-day controversy that included fans protesting in the streets, the Confederation of African Football executive committee decided Wednesday that the second leg of the African Champions League final will be replayed.

The final between Tunisian side Esperance and Moroccan side Wydad Casblanca was abandoned when VAR was unavailable. A goal was scored, then disallowed but with no VAR the Moroccan side walked off the pitch and after a stand off of over an hour the game was abandoned. FIFA stepped in and subsequently it was decided that the match will be replayed.

FIFa had better get a grip and soon...........:shake::shake:

I was all in favour of VAR especially when it worked quite well at the men's WC but since then its usage has descended into farce and I'm beginning to think they are just making up the rules as they go along.

On balance VAR should be a positive for the game of football and will most certainly help City against the cloggers.
